One of my favorite books is Grapes of wrath by John Steinbeck. I would like to meet Joyce Carol Oates. I also love to read history. One of my favorite books in this field is Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough, the story of Theodore Roosevelt as a young man. »

In 2013 I published my first book entitled "Senior Year." The story, set in post World War II America, is about a seventeen year old girl named Ruth Ainsworth. In the summer before her senior year begins, she falls in love with a handsome newcomer to her town named Rex Gardner. After a few months, however, the romance ends when Rex Gardner suddenly drops her for another girl. For awhile, Ruth goes through a dark period, but with the help of friends and family, she eventually regains her confidence. During the winter, she begins dating a classmate in her French class, Maurice Langlois, who is an immigrant from Canada. As the end of the school year approaches, their love for each other grows deeper; however, they face the sad reality that at the end of the summer they will both be moving hundreds of miles apart as they begin their college careers. How does the couple try to resolve this problem?
The book is published by iUniverse and more information about it and orders for it may be made through my website, www.judithfoard.com. The book can also be purchased online from Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Though the book is listed as a young adult novel, it has especially gotten the attention of older readers who were teenagers in the decades of the 1940s and 1950s.
