Wat een ongelooflijk luguber en spannend boek. Vanaf de 1ste pagina tot de laatste word je meegezogen het verhaal in. Helemaal goed, ik heb ervan genoten.
Dit was een erg goed boek. Precies zoals ik mijn politie thrillers wil, donker en gedetaileerd en dan met name het plaats delict. Ik kon het boek bijna niet neerleggen en ik zat zowat de hele tijd op het puntje van mijn stoel. Chris Carter's schrijfstijl pakt je vanaf pagina 1 en laat je niet meer los tot je het boek hebt uitgelezen.
Normaal gesproken ben ik geen fan van politie thrillers waar de hoofdpersonages te veel problemen hebben. Ze moeten zich concentreren op het oplossen van de moord, maar hier is het hoofdpersonage bijna perfect. Dus dat de hoofdpersonage hier een aantal probleempjes heeft vond ik niet erg dit keer. Anders zou hij bijna onmenselijk worden.
Een minpuntje van dit boek was dat ik halverwege al door had wie het was. Gelukkig wist ik niet waarom dat zorgde ervoor dat ik toch nog erg geïntresserd bleef in het verhaal.
