Jan Brokken

Jan Brokken (Leiden, 10 juni 1949) is een Nederlandse auteur. Hij is een zoon van een Nederlands-hervormd predikant. Brokken groeide op in Rhoon en volgde de School voor Journalistiek in Utrecht (stad). Daarna studeerde hij enige jaren politicologie in Bordeaux (stad). In 1984 debuut hij met de roman (literatuur) De Provincie. Hij woonde twaalf jaar op Curaçao.
